  •  Peperomia Hope is a hybrid cultivar between Peperomia deppeana x quadrifolia. This evergreen plant has lovely trailing vines and fleshy coin-shaped leaves which grow in clusters (with 3-4 leaves) along those trailing stems. The leaves have a lovely deep green color with light green stripes.

Peperomia Hope can trail up to several feet in length but it is compact and does not take much space. Hope is a perfect choice for both tall planters and hanging baskets.

Hope, as well as other Peperomia species, can purify the air and reduces the level of formaldehyde indoors.

  •  Peperomia Hope prefers bright, indirect sunlight, but it also tolerates medium-light conditions. Too little light, however, can slow down its growth and makes this plant leggy. Avoid harsh direct sun to prevent scorching leaves.

Peperomia Hope has a shallow root system so it is important not to overwater this plant to prevent root rot. Check the soil twice per week and only water when the top 1" of the soil is dry to the touch. Drain well after each watering and water less in the winter.

The best soil for this plant is a well-drained, porous potting soil that can promote a healthy root development.

This plant grows best in normal room temperatures (between 65°F-85°F). This plant is not frost-tolerant and it does not grow well when the temperature drops below 55°F. Peperomia Hope thrives in normal indoor humidity, and it is recommended that you mist your plant and use a humidifier when the environment is too dry (humidity level falls below 50%).

This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

When you purchase online, your plants have to go through lots of stress while traveling so they may need a few days to adjust to their new environment and thrive. If your plant does not perk back up after a few days of care, let us know and we will send replacements free of charge. Remember that we always try our best to accommodate you.
  • It’s advised that you should repot the plant as soon as you get it. After repotting, your new houseplant will most likely struggle with transplant shock. It may appear droopy, faded, or have a slower growth rate than usual during this time. This is completely normal, and it’s also normal for transplant shock to hit especially hard after repotting a brand-new houseplant. To make sure your plant has plenty of time to adjust to its new surroundings, wait a day after potting and water your plant. Make sure any excess water drains completely from the pot afterward. Monitor your soil’s moisture levels daily to start creating a watering routine. To help perk up your new houseplant, we recommend adding a little water-soluble fertilizer, compost, or sugar water to your soil to boost its nutrients and help it grow.

    Peperomia Hope

This plant came perfectly packaged, healthy, and in great shape. I repotted it, and it is now on the shelf with my other plants.
