  • Originally from South America, Peperomia Piccolo Banda is a semi-succulent small houseplant with thick silver-green leaves and dark green-purple veins. This plant is also called Peperomia Piccolo Albovittata, with Albovittata means “with white- silvery stripes”.

Peperomia Piccolo Banda is very forgiving and requires little care. This plant is compact and usually grows up to 8-12" in height. Its small size makes it a perfect desk plant for any home or office.

Peperomia Piccolo Banda has long spike-like green flowers growing from slender red stalks.

  •  Peperomia Piccolo Banda isn't picky when it comes to lighting needs. It prefers medium to bright, indirect sunlight, but it also tolerates lower light conditions and fluorescent lights. Too little light, however, can slow down its growth and makes this plant leggy. Intense direct sun, on the other hand, can make its colors fade.

As a semi-succulent plant, Peperomia Piccolo Banda is drought-tolerant and does not need frequent watering. Check the soil once per week and only water when the soil is dry to the touch. Water thoroughly and drain well after each watering.

The best soil for this plant is rich but well-drained, porous potting soil. A mixture of houseplant potting soil with perlite, peat, and compost is ideal for Peperomia Piccolo.

This plant grows best in normal room temperatures (between 65°F-80°F). This plant is not frost-tolerant and it does not grow well when the temperature drops below 50°F. Peperomia Hope thrives in normal indoor humidity (40-50%).

This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

When you purchase online, your plants have to go through lots of stress while traveling so they may need a few days to adjust to their new environment and thrive. If your plant does not perk back up after a few days of care, let us know and we will send replacements free of charge. Remember that we always try our best to accommodate you.
  • It’s advised that you should repot the plant as soon as you get it. After repotting, your new houseplant will most likely struggle with transplant shock. It may appear droopy, faded, or have a slower growth rate than usual during this time. This is completely normal, and it’s also normal for transplant shock to hit especially hard after repotting a brand-new houseplant. To make sure your plant has plenty of time to adjust to its new surroundings, wait a day after potting and water your plant. Make sure any excess water drains completely from the pot afterward. Monitor your soil’s moisture levels daily to start creating a watering routine. To help perk up your new houseplant, we recommend adding a little water-soluble fertilizer, compost, or sugar water to your soil to boost its nutrients and help it grow.

    Shipped the wrong plant entirely

Ordered the Piccolo Banda, but received a Rosso. The plant is healthy and lush, but distinctly different and not the one specified.

    Arrived Healthy

Arrived healthy and doing well. Only four stars because it will take a long time growing to be as full as the picture. I believe it will, as it was well packaged and came out of the box looking good
