Ficus Elastica Ruby, Ficus Decora Ruby Pink, or Pink Rubber Tree, is a plant species of the Moraceae family. With strawberry-colored, oval leaves, it makes a cute gift for plant lovers and is a perfect adornment for any decor style.

This is an evergreen tree with an air-purifying and toxin-removing effect.

A mature ficus plant might flower, but its flower looks like a ‘false fruit that has tiny male and female organs. After pollination, it produces a small fig.
Bright or indirect sunlight in order for their leaves to remain variegated. However, avoid direct sunlight to prevent sunburn.

Water sparingly every 7-10 days and leave the soil to dry in between waterings. Only water when the soil is dry to the touch.

Well-Drained, yet lightly moist at all times soil.
This plant thrives in temperatures of 60°F-80°F. It is vital to ensure the room temperature does not fall below 60°F.

This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

This plant is mildly toxic, so keep it out of reach of pets and children.

When you purchase online, your plants have to go through lots of stress while traveling so they may need a few days to adjust to their new environment and thrive. If your plant does not perk back up after a few days of care, let us know and we will send replacements free of charge. Remember that we always try our best to accommodate you.
It’s advised that you should repot the plant as soon as you get it. After repotting, your new houseplant will most likely struggle with transplant shock. It may appear droopy, faded, or have a slower growth rate than usual during this time. This is completely normal, and it’s also normal for transplant shock to hit especially hard after repotting a brand-new houseplant. To make sure your plant has plenty of time to adjust to its new surroundings, wait a day after potting and water your plant. Make sure any excess water drains completely from the pot afterward. Monitor your soil’s moisture levels daily to start creating a watering routine. To help perk up your new houseplant, we recommend adding a little water-soluble fertilizer, compost, or sugar water to your soil to boost its nutrients and help it grow.

Great Condition

My daughter bought this plant for me for an early Christmas gift. I live in a very cold climate, so I was very impressed that my baby ruby ficas arrived in such great condition. There are pink parts on it, but it was mostly green when it arrived because it suffered some cold temperatures and no light from shipping. I put it in a bright, warm place and the new leaves coming out are a beautiful pink! I'm very impressed with this company. Ficus plants are very finicky and it's a miracle it even got to my door alive! I will order from them again :)
